David Carradine, the actor who starred in the legendary ‘Kung-Fu’ series of the 1970’s, has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel, at the age of 72.

The circumstances of Carradine’s death are shrouded in eccentric mystery. For a man who lived so privately to die in such a publicly strange manner only serves to add irony to the memory of a rare and unassuming artist.

Carradine was a painfully shy man, considered himself a Hollywood outsider, and had slipped into relative obscurity until an upstart movie fanatic by the name of Quentin Tarantino decided to resurrect his career in the Kill Bill series, released in 2003 and 2004, which became instant cult classics.
